I followed the fads - 

I was living in Hawaii at the time and it was "swim suite season" year round.

So at one point I was only drinking water, taking fat burning pills and working out for 2 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. When I did allow myself to eat, it wasn't alot. 

So I fell for them.

You know the ideas that I had to be in the gym for hours on end almost every single day. 

Or that I needed to heavily restrict my diet if I wanted to see any kind of results.

Or that I had to do endless cardio to burn fat. 

I'll tell ya, that that road only lead me to being hungry, exhausted, weak, deprived, and with a whole lot of self-image issues. 

 

Fitness as it's sold "out there" is a total myth

 

Here's the general premise: 

Step 1: You need to work out for hours on end, every day of the week, in order to get in shape.

Step 2: You need to eat a restrictive diet that cuts out entire food groups (which just leaves you feeling hungry and deprived.)
